The "Yong Tau Foo" (Yong Tiu Foo in Hakka) is the main attraction here. The mee (meehoon, kway teow, and mee) are just supporting cast.
Open from 2pm onwards, after lunch (supposed to be just teatime snacks I guess??), the YongTiuFoo here are normally sold out quickly. So be early!
Made fresh daily with pork for the stuffing...each and every piece of YongTiuFoo is bursting with the taste of fresh pork (for pork connoisseur, you know what I mean). They may not look that presentable but we are talking just great food for the body (not health wise though) and soul...It did mine!
Hard to get YongTiuFoo: Pig Skin, thick slices of pig skins with fresh pork lathered on it!!!! Now that is artery clogging stuff...but I love it! They also have egg omelet wrapped with pork stuffing, which is a must have.
For one ringgit a piece, it is BIG (proof is in the pics), and value for money and stomach. And for the economy "mee", RM1 gets you a big plate. The mee is okay but then again, the YTF is the star.
Try this, at Kedai Kopi Yun Heng Baru (behind Milimewa supermarket) at Lot 21, Ground Floor, Bornion Centre, Luyang, Kota Kinabalu. Or call Michael Yong at 012 802 4411 for directions.
